Here's what we've been up to since a little before Halloween 2009

Halloween Party at Hootie Hoots.
We can't wait to see all of our fans at Hootie Hoots on Halloween. We've got three new songs and a few new cover tunes. We will also have a new batch of CD's for sale so if you haven't gotten our debut CD yet this will be your chance. They make a great gift for those friends of yours that like to RAWK!!!
See ya on halloween!
After the Halloween show we were saddened to hear that Micah would no longer be with the band. He left for personal reasons and we respect that and still consider him as a friend of the band. Paul decided to leave at this time to devote more time to his other project with Dave "The Waywards." Paul still jumps in and provides services as a sound producer at most of the TDC shows. We miss them both but the beat goes on and Dave and Ross decided to move forth with tryouts for the open positions in the band.

Where have we been?
..Wow!
Last show at Hootie Hoots last year on Halloween was our last Show as the original line up of TDC. Have we said Last enough?
Things are getting ready to change. We have a new Bassist, Philip Durham, and a new Drummer, Jeff Proctor. The whole Dynamics are about to change. Ross and Dave are still involved and will do their best to keep the feeling alive but things are sure going to be different. We feel pretty confident that we will be able to rock your socks off, or whatever the hell the kids are saying these days, at our next show and we will keep you all updated on here and on facebook and bandnut.com and courierpress.com we can also be found on reverbnation.com and you can purchase our debut CD on cdbaby.com

An Evening on the River
Changes abound...with the new members we had our first public performance at Evansvilles An Evening on the River. It was a benefit show for the Evansville Parks and Recreation and keep Evansville Beautiful Campaign. Tickets were $60.00 ea or $65.00 ea the day of the show.
The following came from the facebook site
the event was on June 4th 2010
The Cork and Cleaver, Firefly grille, Biaggi's, Budweiser, Casino Aztar, and a host of other Fine dining establishments had booths set up near musicians.
The Music was provided by Troy Miller, Carl Rodenberg, Byron Rohrig Trio, Boat Monkeys, Irish Traditional Session Band, as well as a Shriners strolling Hadi Highlanders with bagpipes and such. Oh, and Top dead Center, and appropriately, we were Dead Center of all of this excitement. We were positioned on the front porch, or such, of the new Old National Bank Building facing the Ohio River and Riverside Drive Downtown. We could hear the echo off the Kentucky side. Dave just had to yell "Hello Kentucky" a couple of times and hearing Rosses ripping leads echo back was awesome. Philip Durham sure had some big shoes to fill when coming on board to replace Paul Krause but he certainly held his ground and even managed a brief solo dead center of the Jam. Jeff Proctor was fundamental in getting this gig for the guys and he didn't let us down at all. He gave a new dynamic to the backbeat for Top Dead Center and was a welcomed difference. We will always miss our buddy Micah and his skills that took us through our first CD but the show must go on and Jeff has helped us make that transition well.
Carl Rodenberg was set up directly across from us and was oriented to our direction. This was one of the evenings embarrassments. We tried to work with him on the timing of our sets but we managed to step all over him on at least a couple of occasions. He is a very talented musician and tolerant man. We know we were loud.
We did get a chance to take in some of the event ourselves and it was a lovely evening. The food, the breeze, the music at nearly every corner, we would call this a very successful event. Plus, they gave us plenty of free beer tickets, right Paul? Oh, and speaking of Paul. Though he may not be plucking the four string with us anymore he was nice enough to offer up his skills on sound for this event and did an excellent job. Matt Meth was there to handle video and there will be some youtube clips coming as soon as Dave gets them edited. Thanks guys. Also thanks to spouses for pic's that will be soon to come as well. We are truly hyped for the show in July at Hootie Hoot Saloon.
Stay tuned for more to come and feel free to comment on this blog so we know you were here.
Rawk On!!!!!

O'Brians is the place to be.
Thanks to Larry with Calling Corners we were able to play a show at O'Brians sports Bar on Greenriver rd in Evansville on July10th. American Analog opened the night then came Calling Corners. We didn't take the stage till after 12:30 am but we kept rockin till 2:00 am with our hottest set of originals along with a new tune that the current line up worked out before the show"You Think You Know Me." Mark and his entourage showed up along with Matt, Paul, our previous Bassist, and Valerie. I think we scared off a wedding party but all in all a good night. Philip played at the Deerhead earlier in the evening and we picked up his rig at the Deerhead and got a chance to listen to a good part of their first set. He plays bass in a band that used to be named Amphigoria but I can't remember their name now. Craig Watson, a friend of Jeff's, came in from out of town as well. He managed to get in a few games of billiards as we played. We like the stage at O'Brians and the crowd was pretty decent as well.
Thank you Larry and Calling Corners.

The Hootie and the Hoots
Awesome show at Hootie Hoot Saloon in Newburgh 07/31/2010. First full show for the new guys and they really proved themselves. We can't believe how dedicated our fans are. You guys really brought the meat and potatoes to this show. We can't remember ever having as good of a crowd then last night at Hootie Hoot. Philip and Jeff both had their turn at a short solo during the Jam and Dave and Ross could feel the energy in the air and the good vibes that were generating throughout the building. it was certainly a good looking crowd as well and we wont be forgetting this show for a long time. can't wait for the next show.
Thanks to all who came out to the show and if you missed this one then we can't wait to see you next time.
Rock on!

Our first Bullock
We opened Friday night for another local band, One Last Round, that found themselves in a spot. The other band that would be opening for them had double booked and cancelled on them so they seeked out help via Bandnut.com and we responded. The show was at a local place called Bullock's tavern near Deconess Hospital in Evansville,In. It was a lot of fun and our music meshed well with each others. Their crowd was fine and a few of our fans showed up as well. It wasn't well advertised and was upon short notice so this show will be marked down as one to forget in time but we will remain friends and fellow musicians with One Last Round.
Thanks Guys.

the Halloween Show
Well kids it just doesn't get any better than this. We had a show on 10/30/2010 for a Halloween blowout. It was a Saturday night and the house was packed. Was it better than last year? Well, it was different, that's for sure. Last year we still had Paul and Micah in the line up and this year the new guys were up. They did not disappoint. The Fans were outstanding and loud and the bar did a good bit of business. New fans and old fans, new friends and old friends were all in attendance.Hootie Hoot Saloon was the venue again for Halloween and if it's O.K. with Lee Taylor we will try and keep to tradition next year as well. This was our biggest and best show yet and we owe it all to our fans.
THANKS!!!
We have been blessed to still be doing what we enjoy and making music for our fans. We will continue to write new music and pick up more cover tunes along the way.
Rock the hell on!

The Deerhead
Last show of the year, first time at the Deerhead with the new guys.
We played the Deerhead last night 11/26/2010. It was the Night after Thanksgiving. No one came. Well, barely any one. There were about 20-35 people in attendance. The crowd was wonderful and gracious and that was good enough for us. Dave got the stomach virus on Monday night and strained his voice. It still wasn't 100% by Friday night's show but he pulled through alright and sang his way through 2 1/2 sets. At midnight we were told that the night was slow and go ahead and cut out after a half an hour, so we did. That was a first for us.
Still it was a nice evening and we wish to thank those who came out to the show and the Deerhead sidewalk Cafe.
Rock on!

Hootie Hoot Hoot'n
We played at Hootie Hoots again and what a great night, except Lee Taylor wasn't present. We couldn't have asked for a better crowd. Larry and Pam Gish drove up from Clarksville,Tn to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Larry and Pam went to school with Dave. There were also a couple of birthdays to celebrate. The show went pretty well despite the fact that Dave was dealing with Sinusitus and a voice that was ready to quit by the last set. The crowd was real nice to put up with his crappy vocals and still applauded. Dave also tried out his brand new guitar. A G5191BK Tim Armstrong "Signature" Electromatic® Hollow Body. click here for a pic of Dave's new guitar It looks a lot better in person. All in all a great show but not the best thanks to Dave. Sorry that the bar was only serving beer.

Where's the Beef O'Brady's?
Cool a new Venue. We have been wanting to mix it up a bit and finding Beef O'Brady's was a great way to do this. It's also in Newburgh, yeah, that's right, we're doing our Newburgh tour, and it is an all ages, non smoking Bar. Weird eh? Not so , really. It was strange seeing three year olds running around a bunch of drunks but other than that the reception was real well. We started at 10:00 pm, as per their request, and played three short sets. At 1:00am they were calling out for "One more song" We whipped out the Jam and we don't know where it came from but Philip pulled a bass solo out that none of us expected. WOW! Needless to say, we will be back. Thanks to Betsy for getting us this gig. She also got us to have the Waywards play the next Friday.

Rockin' it Out at Crickets
Well it Looks like Lee Taylor came through for us yet again. Crickets in Newburgh is a great little venue that we will likely be returning too. A small room with a big voice and plenty of happy faces. Everyone seemed to enjoy the show and one drunken couple actually took their barroom wedding vows there on that evening. Philip had a moment with one of his pedals that took out his Bass solo but after a few retries he finally got to make his own personal noise for the TDC fanatics. Things are really starting to come together for the guys and they debuted their new song "Second Wind" at this show. A big special thanks to Lee Taylor once again. You Da Man!

Bike Night At Beef O'Brady's
This was our first bike night outside show at Beef O'Brady's. What an exciting night. We got off to a late start because of the rain and we all worked earlier in the day so getting the gear loaded/unloaded and set up was a challenge and then the sound system glitched. We went to plan B, using the monitors for the mains and the crowd responded that they could actually hear Dave better. Huh...Whoda thought. Great outside turnout and with the all ages show there were folks from 2 to a bunch older. The show started at 7pm and we were scheduled to play till 10pm. The weather held out great as well. First time guests were Ross' Mother and additional family and also some old friends and band mates of Dave arrived as well. Thanks Mike Dorris and Tony and company. With aspirations of spending some time, in the next few months, in the studio recording, we can't help but pick up a couple of more shows this summer by demand. Stay tuned and check our schedule under the calendar tab. Have a Happy 4th of July.

Back at The Deerhead sidewalk cafe
Wow...What a great night. Jeff had a large table of about 20 people joined by his sister Polly and her Husband Bobby from New Orleans. Charles, Dave's ex husband in law, was there as well with a small crowd of his friends and Kent Johnson and LieghAnn also showed support by being there. Every one was very responsive and party minded even though we blew the first set with tuning issues. The crowd was great and held on through the second set which came together real well. Lowell felt compelled to butt rub Philip while he was playing but no complaints there so they may be seeing more of each other on the side :) A big Thanks again to all of our fans and supporters!

We got lamasco'd
At least that's what the Natives at Lamasco's Bar and Grill Call it. Amy does a great job running a place like this. Most of the time there is live music and local musicians have a chance at open Mic events weekly. A lot of these are impromptu and improvisational. Our hats off to Lamasco's. That being said, we ourselves, had an awesome time at this venue and look forward to the next time we can play there. It sure looked like our fans enjoyed Lamasco's as well. No special appearances that we can recall but being at Lamasco's was special enough. The bar and server crew were great and all appeared to have a great time. Oh yeah, Thanks for coming, Micah! We also wrote a new song for this event and performed it, called "No More" but we sure hope they will have us back for more.

We hear Cricket's Calling
Yep, they called and we showed. I guess another band did us a favor and cancelled. We had a great night at Cricket's again. Lee Taylor productions came through once again and we played our lil' hearts out. One of the guests was getting a little rude and loud till Philip picked him up like a rag doll and escorted his ass out the door. Making fun of people because of their sexual preference and whether they are a Marine or not just doesn't go over real well with our young Bassist. He explained the finer points of etiquette to our lost and lonely guest and he apologized right away. I don't think Phil would have hit him and he never raised his voice but the poor guy got the message. All was well for the rest of the evening and so happens when alcohol is involved.
Peace,
TDC

What's up Doc's?
Our last show of the year at one of the best venues in town. Doc's on Stringtown has one of the best stages and sound systems in E'ville. We had planned for a bigger attendance but everyone that showed up more than made up for it. What a great place to have a party and that's what marc and his friends did. happy birthday Marc and thanks to the folks from Chicago that made their way to the show as well...YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
Oh yeah...ROSS SUCKS!
;)

Dear Head,
Thanks for the show Saturday Night. We really enjoyed playing your establishment once again and we have the feeling that our crowd was having a good time as well. Maybe next time there won't be as much man love, not that there's anything wrong with that. Jeff always makes us feel welcome and the rest of the staff at The Deerhead rocks as well. The show was phenomenal and we can thank Paul once again for coming through for us on sound. Jenn came to celebrate her birthday with us again and we were very happy to have her and the whole D-Pat gang. You could certainly tell that alcohol was involved.
Yours truly

Mixing it up at Doc's
We thought we would give back a little. Bringing The Waywards in with us for the show seemed like a great idea and it turns out that it was. Toby Ellis is a very talented songwriter and guitarist. he has his own way of leading a band and it works real well. The backbeat from Danny Jones on drums and Paul Krause on Bass his songs ring out like an Americana banner across the midwest. With a little help from Dave Miller of TDC on rhythm guitar and backing vocals the picture comes complete. Playing through an hour long set, The waywards got the party started for the night. Building from the soft sweet sounds of Americana to the rawness of a classic style roots rock that brought the crowd to dance and swing.
TDC came on afterwards to help carry the night through more than some time past last call. Rockin' out their crowd pleasing Originals with a few covers mixed in to spice up the rest of the listeners that aren't familiar with their sets. A greta crowd and super time for all at Doc's. A place that we really enjoy playing...Thanks, Krystal. We really appreciate the chance to play your venue. OUR FANS ROCK!!!
